While we try to keep this page up to date, there may be a day or so delay in updating any changes made to ROE. The most recent Rules Of Engagement can also be found on our Server 157 Discord page.
These rules are current as of 18th November 2020.

  1. (Star Trek: Enterprise) By 2233, command division personnel wore blue. (Star Trek) Gold was again the color of the command division throughout the 2250s and 2260s, worn by line officers and flag officers of this division. Officers in the command division wore a five-pointed star with a lengthened upper point as an insignia on their assignment.
  2. You have the conn! Summon your skills in strategy, combat, diplomacy, and leadership to master the dangerous universe of Star Trek Fleet Command. Star Trek Fleet Command expands its universe with brand new Star Trek.

Special Nodes (Latinum and Data):

Any Survey ship not designed for special mining (latinum and data) may be removed from a special mine to be replaced by a Botany Bay on data or a D’vor on latinum.

Special Borg Latinum systems
(Yoria-3/Zed Alpha/Torra Sedra)
D’vors are are not to be attacked while mining, even if they are over their protected cargo limit.

D’vors may be removed if there are no free mines in the system and one of the following applies: –

  • maximum cargo has been reached (no more mining although the mine is not yet 0)
  • The mine is 0

It is recomended to prove the situation by screenshots.

The Vi’dar is protected as long as it is not mining Latinum.

War declarations: Deskscapes full.

These can only be made by an Admiral (minimum alliance members of 10) and must be backed up by another member of that alliance.
Solo players making war declarations are considered to be in a “rogue” state and will gain immediate KOS status.
Note: any players or alliances deemed as Kill on Sight (KoS) forfeit the right of protection under the above rules for their actions against these rules.

A standard setting of the STO server is to automatically rotated log files every hour. Which means that you have to select the rotated combatlog manually. You find your Combatlog in the “Cryptic StudiosStar Trek OnlineLivelogsGameClient” folder. A rotated combatlog is looking like this combatlog_date_time.log (e.g. “Combatlog_2016-02-25_18-00-00.Log”) and you have to select the latest one.

But there is a way to disable the log rotation in your client settings.

Star Trek Online Cruiser Commands

  1. Open your STO launcher options.
  2. Write “-NoAutoRotateLogs” (without quotation marks) into the command line and save your changes.

After this setting is changed your logfiles are not rotating anymore. Your combatlog will now be called Combatlog.log .
